NEMA Donates Drugs To Victims Of Gombe Bomb Blast

nema-logoNational Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has donated drugs to victims of multiple bomb blast that took place last Wednesday in Gombe. According to the NEMA Director General Sani Sidi, the donation was part of Federal Government’s effort to relieve suffering of the victims.

The NEMA boss who had earlier gone round  hospitals where the victims were receiving treatment, expressed satisfaction over the way the victims were responding to treatment, even as he thanked the hospital management for their dedication to duty and the state government for releasing funds to take care of the victims.

Sidi whi expressed the agency’s commitment to its duties, also said, the agency would within its powers ensure best practice of risk and emergency management in the country. The NEMA boss also urged people in the state to continue to pray against insurgency in the country also urged the people to remain vigilant so as to avoid future occurrence.

Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo who welcomed the NEMA boss to the state, expressed the state government’s readiness to take care of the victims. He urged citizens of the state to continue to be security conscious and cooperate with security agencies with a view to ensure more security in the state.

Governor Dankwambo who earlier, donated N2 million naira to 51 victims who are currently receiving treatment in hospital also went round the state to visit families of these who lost their lives as a result of the blast.

The governor, who urged people in the state to remain security conscious, also expressed the state government’s commitment in securing the lives and properties of the people.
