NDE To Train 30 People Poultry Production In Jigawa

19 states were selected to witness the flag off of the sustainable agricultural development training scheme SADTS across the six geopolitical zones in the country wherein each of the state 30 people were selected to be empowered with agricultural skills in which they have a comparative advantage.

In Jigawa state about thirty people were drawn from various location in the state to receive training on poultry farming in which the training comprised the orientation and practical as well as theoretical aspect and the training will last for four month.

This was disclosed by the National Directorate of Employment Coordinator in Jigawa state Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Jamo while delivering his speech at the training ground of ASTC agricultural skills training center in  karnaya village in Dutse local government area of Jigawa state.

The coordinator also stated that his office has purchased 100 days old chicks for practical activities during the period of four-month orientation for demonstration at the center, he explained further that this it is part of the federal government policy which gives opportunities to youth to embrace agriculture as a means to earn income as well as create mass employment.

He added that the orientation of Sustainable Agricultural Development Training Scheme SADTS was organized by the Rural Employment and Promotion department of the National Directorate of employment NDE

He explained that it has becomes imperative for the NDE to key into this government policy on agriculture in line with its primary objective of empowering youths to be self-employed as well as job creation ,the REP have come up with a laudable scheme called sustainable agricultural development training scheme SADTS which is very beneficial targeted at empowering unemployed youths with passion in agriculture with skill.

He hinted that the programme will turn the youths  to commercial farmers in order to create more job opportunities as well as to provide adequate and dependable farming and income for themselves.

 

He assured that all dedicated staff will be greatly rewarded.
