Creme de la’ creme of the ruling party from Nasarawa north has made a passionate appeal to the party to zone the governorship ticket come 2019 to the zone for the spirit of togetherness.

The delegation has appealed to the leadership of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress to accord premium to zoning formula for fairness and equity.

Senator John Danboyi who led the high power delegation to the party office said Nasarawa north deserve the ticket of governorship.

He said  the principle of zoning is in place since the advent of democracy in 1999.

He further said the delegation are mostly from the three Local Governments comprises of Wamba ,Nasarawa Eggon and Akwanga respectively, others are the immediate past head of service, Dominic Bako, the immediate past Interim Management Committee chairman of Akwanga, Yakubu Kwonta,Idris Yahuza, contender for the slut of federal House of Representatives, representing Akwanga, Wamba, Nasarawa Eggon ,also a governorship aspirant, Yeriman Wamba,Nagogo and amongst others.

Calling on the ruling party to adhere to the principle of fair representation enshrined in the 1999 constitution as amended.

“Section 14 subsection 4 of the amended constitution gave room to fairness in public office”.

Danboyi said the zoning of the ticket to Nasarawa north would be the right thing the party would do to for the sake of Justice.

Illustrious party men including the Nasarawa state current Deputy Governor is signatories to the movement.

The state chairman of the party, Philip Shekwor applauded the delegates, saying that only party exists in Nasarawa state is the APC.

He in addition said that they change mantra has manifest with the present fight on corruption and ongoing restructuring of the country by President Muhammad Buhari.
