Nasarawa To Partner Chinese To Fast Track Construction Of Airport, Power Plant And Industrial District

Nasarawa state Government is to partner with a Chinese company “Tongyi Allied Mining Limited”   to fast track the construction of the proposed Cargo Airport and an Industrial district in the state.

The special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity,Ahmed Tukur disclosed this to Journalist, The Governor buttressed that

The industrial district when constructed will accommodate industries most especially smelting plant that will generate power using coal and Iron that are in abundant supply in the state.

Other areas of partnership includes the construction of a cargo Airport in Lafia to be financed by the Chinese company, and the completion of the Moribund  farin Ruwa Hydro power plant.

Al – Makura and the firm made the proposal at a breakfast meeting in Nasarawa lodge, Asokoro Abuja, The  firm  also agreed to take advantage of the newly built Karu international market and construct a shopping mall and other facilities to augment state Government’s effort in boasting the economy of the state.

The Governor said the idea is in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s proclamation to unbundle other sectors of  the economy to job creation, power generation and increase revenue.

He explained that the firm will also construct a six kilometres service road behind the Karu international market to reduce traffic congestion along the Mararaba-Karu high way.

The chairman of the company Algreen Zheng assured the state Government of their resolve to do a quality job and that their technical team will arrive the country on 20/8/2015,
