Nasarawa Police Command Stop Protesting PDP Women

The Nasarawa State Police Command has Outlawed women from protesting in support of the PDP Governorship candidate, David Emmanuel Ombugadu.

The Nasarawa State Command warned the general public that all forms of protest have been banned throughout the state.

Therefore, all proposed protests under any guise are hereby prohibited.

The police command took this decision in order to prevent the breakdown of law and order and to sustain the peace currently being enjoyed in the state; as the intelligent report on security can no longer sustain any form of protest in the state.

Consequently, parents and guardians are advised to ensure their children and wards do not violate this order as anyone caught shall be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

The Command Public Relations Officer DSP Ramhan Nansel issued the statement on March 26, 2023, and made it available to Journalists.

The statement was coming on at a time that women in support of the Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Emmanuel Ombugadu are calling on the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission to declare Nasarawa Governorship election inconclusive.

It could be recalled that women protesters in Lafia, Akwanga, and Karu have blocked the major highways while in Lafia The converges at the State Secretariat of the PDP along Jos.
