Nasarawa PDP Suspension Saga: Danmajen Azara Gave PDP 2 Days To Apologize Or Face Legal Action

A staunch member of the People’s Democratic Party in Nasarawa has questioned the rationale behind the action of his former party,the People’s Democratic Party and has threathen to unleash legal arsenal if the party failed to apologize to him in twenty hours.

The embattled member and state chairmanship aspirant in the last election, Hon.Sarki Tanko (Danmajen Azara) and campaign director to member House of representatives, Hon.Muhammed Ogoshi Onawo member representing Awe,Doma,Keana who was the chairman of “Assembly For Greater Nasarawa” was facing a sticky situation.

Sarki Tanko challenged the PDP for violating the provisions of the party’s constitution, as he said he was taken unaware without any formal letter or passing through the party disciplinary committee before the legal act.

“Is a complete aberration of the party constitution for just an individual to take a rigid decision “he accused the party chairman for running the party as his personal property?

“There is nothing like anti party, when was it became a sin to form an association in Nigeria, the constitution gave us the right to form associations and that was what I’m doing”.

“Do we form political party in Nasarawa state? And what was the name of the party,” Assembly For Greater Nasarawa” he identified the decision and position of his former party as a witch hunt by some aggrieved party members to thwart his political fortress.

“I took the path of honour by dumping the party before they announced my suspension, my defection was well publicizing in the media, he added.

Available record unveiled that politicians cut across different political parties were in attendance in the meeting held on the 20th, October 2016, some of the heavyweight politicians that attended the meeting of “Assembly for Greater Nasarawa are as follow:

Bar.Innocent Lagi-Labour Party

Dr.Mandula-former Chief of staff to governor Al-Makura

Garkuwan Daddere,including scores of retired permanent secretary were in attendance.

it was revealed that Garkuwan Daddere insisted that a thirteen (13) man committee be set-up

One of the members of Assembly for Greater Nasarawa said the goal of the association was to support firmly and endorsed a credible and responsible candidate during election.

It would be recalled that the state chairman of the party, Hon. Francis Orogu while addressing party elders recently said a party member from Awe was suspended for anti-party activities, he asserted that the affected person would face the disciplinary committee of the party.
