Nasarawa Muslim Pilgrims Board Cautions Intending Pilgrims To Be Of Good Virtues

Al-Makura-E2-80-99sThe Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has cautioned this year’s intending pilgrims to uphold good virtues of the holy prophet while in the holy land, Abubakar Hassan Na Laraba stated while briefing Journalist at his office.

He eulogized practicing Journalists in the state for being supportive to the board in the fulfillment of her religious obligation; He attested that the significance of the press in all ramifications is essential towards promoting the board.

He added that greater premium would be accorded to essential services in this year’s Hajj Operation which he said include the Press, Medical Team, Council of Ulama (clerics), the Public Relation Officer of the board, Abdul-Razak Mohammed while shedding more light on the level of preparedness by the board asserted that preparations are on top gear.

“We have embark on medical exercise that cut across the 13 Local Governments, the PRO opined that training exercise of the intending pilgrims would soon commence,” advising all intending pilgrims to be of good moral and good virtues during Hajj operation.

The Public Relation Officer debunked the allegation of sharp practices existing in the board, the reaction followed headline reports over financial scandal involving staff of the board to defraud intending pilgrims.

“The board has since stopped the issue of Haddayah (sacrifice of ram) by the board since 2012 to date, the controversy surrounding the process made the board to withdraw from the exercise, he added. The Board added that 1,691 pilgrims are expected to be airlifted to the Holy land.
