Nasarawa Lawmaker Embarks On Free Medicare, Sponsored 250 Pupils For Common Entrance Examination

A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Akwanga North constituency, Hon. Yusuf Ali Chumbaya in a determination to assist the downtrodden in his constituency has introduced a free Medicare for his constituents less than three months in office.

The lawmaker in an interview with selected newsmen at the Assembly said no fewer than four people have so far undergone surgeries ranging from the appendix, and hernia surgeries within the shortest time.

” I introduced this because of the hard moment people are facing especially those that are leaving from hand to mouth, this gesture can to a greater measure alleviate the plight of my constituents “He added.

Hon. Yusuf Ali Chumbaya maintained that another area of interest which he beamed his searchlight was the sinking of six boreholes to his constituents.

“Six boreholes have been completed while four are under construction”. The lawmaker affirmed that the sinking of boreholes is to tackle the water needs of the people of five electoral wards of Akwanga North constituency.

He however explained that he connected the people of Buku community to the national grid, Saying the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company disconnected the community due to a fault in the transformer.

“I sponsored 250 pupils to write the common entrance examination that will qualify them for Secondary school, The Honorable member said he accorded greater premise to the wellbeing of his electorate, especially towards the enhancement of the education sector.

Honorable Yusuf Ali Chumbaya appealed. to his constituents to remain calm and resolute, Giving the assurance that no stone will be left untouched as he remains their representative for a period of four years.

“My people should exercise patient; I have the five electoral wards at heart”. He insisted that he would make sure that he left indelible marks in the sands of time as a representative of the people.
