Nasarawa Govt  Poises To Review Drug Revolving Fund-Health Commissioner

Nasarawa State Commissioner of health.Pharmacy,Baba Ahmed Yahaya said the State Government has reiterated it determination to review the Drug Revolving Fund in the State.

 

He stated this during the handing over ceremony held at the Ministry,Ahmed who promised his optimum best to overhaul the health sector says Primary Health Care would be reinvigorated.

 

He further said PHC should be accessible to health seekers in the State,he disclosed that the State would look into the free maternity care introduced by successive administration.

 

Pharmacy Ahmed stated that impetus would be accorded to free Medicare for children under the age five years.

 

The Commissioner cum lab scientist said he will work in harmony with all directors in the ministry to redefine the ministry.

 

Ahmed buttressed that he would visits the Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA),Nasarawa State Hospital Management Board (NSPMB), Nasarawa State Health Insurance Scheme (NSHIS), Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH)  and Nasarawa Agency for The Control of Aid (NACA) to abreast himself with activities of the various agencies.

 

Saying he would operate and open door  policy for the interest of rapid development.

 

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry,Ishaku Abari reeled out some of the challenges to include manpower and logistic problem.

 

He lauded the State Governor.Engr.Sule for the released of funds frequently by the State Government.

 

Abari listed some of the prospect of the led-Government to includes conducting free cataract surgery for over 700 people.

 

The Permanent Secretary commended workers at the ministry especially directors for their dodgedness in moving the ministry to an enviable height.
