The fate of the current management of the Isa Mustapha Agwai 1, Polytechnic, Lafia hangs in the balance following the inauguration of a visitation panel to probe the management of the institution by the State Government.
The Secretary to the State Government, Bar.Aliyu Ubandoma tasked the committee members to exhibit professionalism and Justice.
The SSG, Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu, stressed this during the inauguration of the panel in his office.
Aliyu averred that the Government had set up the panel to examine compliance with the application of funds especially the Internally Generated Revenue, Grants, and other accruals to the institution.
He urged the panel led by the Engineer. Ali Rabiu to ensure strict adherence to decent responsibility irrespective of any sentiments, tasking the committee to work in a more diligent and professional manner.
Saying is imperative that the State Government is determined to meticulously study the findings of the panel and implement its recommendations promptly.
The Chairman of the Visitation Panel, Engineer. Ali Rabiu disclosed that they would remain compliant with the mandates given to them in excellence, fairness, and equity in order not to abuse the confidence reposed in them, maintaining that it would submit its report within the timeframe of six weeks assigned to them.
He thanked the State Government for entrusting the responsibility to them, noting that there would be no room for unbiased findings.
The ten-member visitation panel has Engineer. Ali Rabiu as Chairman, Barr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, Fati Sabo Jimeta, Joseph Ancho, Isa Abubakar, Prof. Haruna Ayuba, Prof. Aruwa Suleiman, Prof. Saidu Umar Saidu, Dr. Vincent Ayah and Mohammed Sani Bala as Secretary.
