Hajiya Mairo Al-Makura,The wife of the Nasarawa state governor has tasked women to participate actively in politics, Mairo stated this while collecting a Permanent Voters Card at Lungun Wambai Polling unit in Gayam ward in Lafia municipal.
The governor’s wife called on the women folk to turn out en masses to collect their voters card, Adding that voters card remain the only tool for one to vote during election.
“Your voter’s card is your power because it will determine who will rule you as an elected representative”.
She also extended her called on all eligible voters in the state to exploit this opportunity as a second chance to collect their PVC as well for those above seventeen to got register in the forthcoming Continues Voters Registration exercise scheduled for December.
Hajiya Mairo Umaru Tanko Al-Makura appealed to the people of the state to cooperate with the staff of the Independent Electoral Commission in the discharge of their duty, she however, said the cooperation of all and sundry would assist the Inec staff to ensure efficient and effective assignment.
