Nasarawa Assembly Member Calls On Buhari To Extend His Anti-Corruption Crusade To States and Local Government

The chairman Nigeria Association of State Assembly Legislators, Hon Kassim Muhammed Kassim has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to extend the scope of his anti-corruption Crusade to the thirty six States including the Federal Capital Territory and the seven hundred and forty four Local Government council.
The state lawmaker stated this in a chat with selected Journalists at his home in Lafia, he stressed the need for the anti-graft agencies to expand their frontiers to the other tiers of Government for optimum result, and the chairman of NASL said the extension to a greater measure would curb the high rate of corruption in the system.
Hon. Kazzim Mohammed Kazzim (APC) representing Akwanga South expressed displeasure over the impetus accorded to security vote to States and Local Governments, he however said the security vote dole out States and Local governments’ areas are being diverted for other purposes.
“Those at the behest of affairs sometimes don’t want the crisis to end because they are benefiting the security vote coming from the federal Government, of what value is the security for ?our schools, hospitals are in shamble “.
Hon Kassim also commended president Buhari on the signing of 2016 budget, saying the assent to this year’s budget would go a long way in addressing the untold hardship faced by Nigerians, adding that this the moment Nigerians are waiting for.
“This what Nigerians are waiting for which is the signing and implementation of 2016 budget, anything he said Nigerians will believe him because is a man of his words and Nigerians so much have trust on him”.
He called on Nigerians to remain calm with the biting economic crunch compounded with queue in filling stations, describing the situation as the hand work of saboteurs; the lawmaker applauded President Muhammad Buhari for tackling boko haram insurgency in less than one year.
“This alone is a greater achievement in one year and everybody can attest to the war against insurgents by the All Progressives Congress under President Muhammad Buhari”.
The lawmaker eulogized Nasarawa state Governor ,Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for transforming the state within the shortest time of steering the mantle of leadership of the state, urging all to rally round the governor.
