Nasarawa Assembly Confirm Commissioner Nominee, 2 NASIEC Commissioners, 2 Permanent Members L.G.S.C

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has today (Friday ) confirmed Hon. Ibrahim Uthman Angbolo as a Commissioner nominee to represent his constituency, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government of the State.

The Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi confirmed his eligibility due to his impeccable credentials, He announced to the House that the replacement of Hon.Haruna Musa who did not present himself for screening.

The Rt. the honorable Speaker maintained that the nonappearance of Haruna Musa was due to ill health, Others screened and confirmed by the Assembly are Hon.Aliyu Mohammed Gayam (Elele) and the immediate past Hon.Member of the State Assembly, Hon Jacob Samuel Tsebe representing Akwanga South as Commissioners of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission.

The House also confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Umar and Abdullahi Mustapha Aliyu as Permanent Members of,Local Government Service Commission respectively.

The various lawmakers while giving testimonies of their representatives rated them high, Hon Musa Ibrahim (NNPP) Doma South constituency described Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Waziri from Doma as an industry of knowledge with a background of civil service as quality for the position.

The Members representing the two constituencies of Nasarawa Eggon, Hon.Jacob Kudu, and the Deputy Speaker, Abel Bala hailed the replaced Commissioner nominee, Hon. Ibrahim Uthman Angbolo.

According to Bala (PDP) said their commissioner is qualified in all ramifications for the sensitive position, “I know Uthman as an adviser to the Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, also I know him as a town planner and consultant and I’m hopeful that he will add value to the State.

The two lawmakers representing Lafia Central and East constituency shower encomium on the Honorable Commissioner NASIEC Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed Gayam (Elele) as an experienced and committed politician.

Hon.Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki (SDP) Lafia Central and Hon Esson Mairiga described Elele as a game changer and an emancipator.

Also, Hon.Hudu .A.Hudu Member representing Awe North constituency (APC), and Hon.Suleiman Yakubu from Awe South (APC) said Hon.Abdullahi Mustapha Aliyu , a former Commissioner of Information, Press Secretary of the Assembly and currently Permanent Member L.G.S.C is a good man for the job.
