Governor Sule Submit Name of Commissioner Nominee To Assembly For Confirmation

The Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has submitted the name of Ibrahim Uthman Angbolo to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as a Commissioner nominee from Nasarawa Eggon Local Government.

The Speaker directed the nominee to present thirty copies of his credentials to the clerk of the House within 24 hours.

Hon Balarabe while reading the letter of the Governor before the Honorable House said the name is for the screening and confirmation of the one vacant space representing Nasarawa Eggon.

It could be recalled that the House of Assembly last month screened and confirmed 1 7 Commissionership nominees but the representative of Nasaraw Eggon is missing because he did not appear before the House of Assembly.

The Assembly will also screen and confirm the appointment of some members of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission and Local Government Service Commission.

The House adjudged the sitting to be tomorrow (Friday) for the conclusion of the emergency sitting which was scheduled for Thursday and Friday respectively.

It could be recalled that Governor Abdullahi Sule during the inauguration of 16 Commissioners promised to replace another name from Nasarawa Eggon, which is the vacant position of the Commissioner of Information.

Hon.Zhekaba (PDP ) representing Obi 2 moved for the adjournment of the sitting to Friday 25,August 2023.

The Assembly also announced the confirmation of the names of Permanent members of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral  Commission and the Local Government Service Commission respectively.
