Naraguta Village Vs Unijos, Army Demolition: Court Fixes 6th July For Hearing

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos Division   on Thursday has adjourned to 6th July, 2020/for hearing in a suit instituted against the University of Jos and the Nigeria Army by 50 members of Naraguta village over illegal demotion of their houses.

 

 

The counsel to the Plaintiff, Barr Badamasi Kabiru Adams during the Thursday’s sitting told the court that he has concluded services to the first and second defendants in accordance with law practice.

 

The first  defendants the University of Jos was represented by counsel ,Barr Nimnan Denden who told journalists that the matter is still pending before the state High over encroachment by the settlers of Naraguta village hostel which the university acquired the said landed property from the steel and melting company over 35 years ago .

 

Nimnan solicited for the extension of time to enable him reach out to the state high court which they unanimously agreed.

 

 

The presiding Judge, Justice Dorcas Agishi adjourned the suit to 6th July, 2020 for hearing into originating surmount and motion of notice   filed by one sadisu Muhammad Musa challenging the University of Jos and the Nigeria army the defendants.
