Nancwat Bendel Accuses Hon.Bulus Vincent Venmak Of Holding Back Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Campaign Funds

The Plateau State House of Assembly Member Representing Langtang South State Constituency, Hon.Nancwat Bendel has accused the Member Representing Langtang North and South Federal Constituency, Hon.Bulus Vincent Venmak of diverting funds released for the electioneering campaign of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) Plateau State Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking on the backdrop of his suspension by the state chapter of the APC in Plateau State,Hon.Bendel disclosed that the funds released through the Former Management Committee ( ITC) Chairman Bulus Vincent Venmak were held in his custody and non-supporters of the APC in Langtang North benefited from the gesture.

Mr Nancwat Bendel stated this during an interview with Journalists at his Dadin Kowa residence of Jos South LGA on Monday.

He said,” This is what I kept saying that my suspension was masterminded by Hon.Bulus Vincent Venmak who is plotting to blackmail my political ambition knowing that I’m more popular in Langtang South.

“There is no issue or proof that I played anti-party activities during the Chairmanship election in Plateau State because he wanted to vie for the 2027 general elections and he wasn’t amongst the popular candidates so he wants to employ the strategy of blackmail.

According to him, the funds were not released to stakeholders to canvas votes which is why APC lost gallantly to the opposition party, the money was sent to them as ITC Chairman, and he lost his election and that of the Presidency which was held together with the national assembly.

Nancwat Bendel alleged that in the aftermath of the elections, Vincent Venmak when announced to the people that he had lost his election so everybody would follow suit, and the funds released under his custody were hijacked.

He told Journalists that he had written petitions to the state party but was still pending only for the state chapter to suspend me which I see as illegal, character assassination, and blackmail, however, when they invited me I showed them.

As a card-carrying member of APC in Langtang South LGA, Nancwat Bendel vowed to remain and contest the next elections under APC in any position even governorship that one I will continue to do what is right to protect the party because I won my election so I will continue to support them, he said.

He called on the fellow supporters of the APC in Langtang South LGA to remain calm they should not be a deterrent from what they’re hearing but let us unite and work for the APC to win and deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of Langtang South.

Nancwat Bendel stressed that he has been intimidated by Vincent Venmak but he explained further that now that he wants to contest for 2027 let him consult.

He warned that if he continues with the level of intimidation it wouldn’t help the party but would strengthen the party by uniting with each other to achieve meaningful congress.

Bendel emphasized that the party leadership needed to unite them rather than listen to a one-sided story and work on it.

However, his use of different attacks towards creating unnecessary crises may not help us, we should try to dialogue and find an end.
