A philanthropist who deal with the well-being of orphanage and vulnerable children in Africa now a politician,Hon . Daniel Asama has said, the Federal Government of Nigeria is drowning and is insensitive to the plight of Nigerian citizens in new naira note redesigned programs as leaders should focus more on humanity to come first before the implementation of the policy.
He said,” I will call that people should rise up and fight for themselves by voting for credible leaders, we shouldn’t leave everything in the hands of few individuals.
We feel the pain here where people have to go out and sleep in filling stations to queue for fuel in banks and we are practically buying our naira note now earlier than Four to Five hours citizens are waiting to buy currency either from the bankers or POS operators or you stay without it, I am not disputing the cashless policy but the poor management to support it because it is not well laid out and the policy should be well back up by technical and mechanical support.
He disclosed that he venture into active politics to salvage the deplorable system and encourage youth participation in democracy and rebuild the country’s process of transformation to leave a legacy of the former South African leader, Nelson Mandela .
Asama is vying under the platform of Labour Party for Jos North /Bassa Federal Constituency, made this disclosure in an exclusive interview in Jos.
He said,” I am very worried practically about the well-being of the vulnerable in the entire Nigerian who are living in refugee camps as a result of poor leadership causing hardship across the length and breadth of the states.
We all need to put this together otherwise we will miss out on the real tenets of democracy, that is why I am vying and pleading with eligible voters to vote for me in Jos North ,Bassa constituency to give me an opportunity to provide quality representation at the green chamber.
I want everyone around Jos North ,Bassa to know that we have to redeem ourselves with good representation, we have to have the right choice of voice and the right people at the Senate, Rep on 25th February 2023 because I believe that the people will vote me knowing that I grew up with them and they all understand my characters and contributions in the development of our areas “.
Asama pledged his unalloyed support towards revamping and repositioning the Jenta ,Tudun Wada ,and its environs because they are yearning for government presence, I know the plight of our people in this particular zone, we used to wake up to go in search of drinking water and no road network connecting them and the absence of public school which is my major target.
According to him, he wants to be remembered for his positive contribution to the development of his own community and improving infrastructural deficit, women empowerment, education, and programs that touch the lives of that is just what I want to be remembered for because I might not leave long to see and reap the benefit but what I have done in the lives of others.
Daniel stressed that Nigerian needs credible leaders worthy of emulation to create a conducive atmosphere for development to strife I will give my best to see how history would remember me that there was once Daniel Asama that was with them that was a member of the green chamber and this is what he has done to them.
He explained further that our people say, “a good name is better than gold and silver, ” I just want to be remembered for that because that name would bring inspiration to the upcoming generation, I want to create an impact that is long-lasting and dynasty over my name that people would proud to identify with it.
He said , his biggest challenge is that people have not realized that Nigeria is drowning but they’re yet to accept the reality that our country is drowning especially in the manner leadership has failed us, Nigeria is not the same country of yesterday.
Asama called on the electorate to wake up and right up to the present reality of life because the Federal government is very insensitive to the cry of the people as a person I believe in the rationality of humanity because humanity comes first.
