The Plateau State Chairman of Labour Party ( LP) ,Mrs Grace Zamfara has said,Hon.Daniel Asama is the sole candidate for Jos North/ Bassa Federal House of Representatives seat as she dismissed all allegations views of the opposition on his nomination that he remains the party flag bearer in 2023 general elections and that of the rerun exercise.

She called on politicians and stakeholders in the state to eschew politics of bitterness and focus more on what would unite us.

Speaking at the ECWA headquarters on Saturday in Jos North Local Government Council, Mrs Grace Zamfara condoled with the people of the state over the unfortunate killings of innocent people in Mangu, Bokkos LGAs.

She explained further that,”it is a great lie that some opposition is peddling rumour that  Daniel Asama isn’t the initial candidate before the primaries conducted for LP in the state.

” There is no any other candidate apart from him (Daniel Asama) ,I don’t think they have a case because it’s a walkover so we are not going to be intimidated by the opposition candidate filing in a suit challenging the victory of Asama .

” Yes ,we all agree that all politicians want to test their will in court so we can’t stop them from going to court seeking to their fundamental right “,she disclosed.

Grace urged the people of Plateau State to be prayerful because the state is home of peace not pieces so let put aside our political differences and embrace love, understanding and let stop fighting each other and build confidence also progress.

Furthermore, she said, “Instead of fighting and pointing accusing fingers at each other please let return to God in prayer to help clean the land.

“Zamfara, condemned the incessant attacks, and killings of innocent fellow citizens this is undemocratic, unfortunate, and uncivilized so, so she appealed to the Stakeholders to intervene and let allow peace to reign by sheathing our swords”.

We should not allow enemies of the state to take advantage of the exercise and destroy the peaceful coexistence, we have maintained over the years, she said.
