N45, 000 Speed Limit Device Is Not Drivers’ Friendly-Nasarawa NURTW Chairman Tells FRSC

The state chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, Nasarawa State wing, Salihu Adamu said the N45, 000 for speed limit device was not driver friendly.

The Chairman stated this during a chat with selected Journalists in his office,Salihu Adamu frowned over the exorbitant price of the device.

Calling on the authority to have a rethink by slashing the huge amount of money as price of the speed limit.

“Our approval of speed limit is 50 percent reason been that our members cannot accord the device because of the price, for this reason I would call on the authority concerned to slash the amount to N5000”.

Commenting on the ember month, Salihu Adamu called on road users to shun overloading and reckless driving during and after the yuletide.

He warned commercial drivers on the need for prompt check-up after 130Km Journey.

He also appealed to passengers to make commercial drivers capture their information on passengers manifest.

“Passengers manifest is very important because it is through the manifest that you can identify the passengers in any tragic situation”.

“That was part of the reasons why we always advice passengers to bode a vehicle at motor park”Adamu added.
