The Chairmanship Candidate for Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) ,Plateau State Chapter ,Mr Ibrahim Lawal Ibrahim has promised to revamp back the motion picture industry as one the biggest employer of labour in addressing youth restiveness on the Plateau.
He said the industry stand to transform the youth by empowering them to be productive to themselves, society ,family and to also avoid drugs related addiction.
Ibrahim made this disclosure at the Kwararafa cinema in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state while picking a form to run as one of the candidate .
He told youth in the area that there is abandon opportunities in motion picture industry if adequately harness it will boost the financial income of everyone of them because idleness create more problem were politician cash in to push them to commit all manner of crime.
In his electioneering campaign promises ,Ibrahim them that as a journalist he would employ his connection ,experience to promote motion picture industry towards engaging upcoming artist for them to be useful and end revenue to the government.
According to him ,MOPPAN has been neglected over the years due to lack of commitment and seriousness of the practitioners but promise to reposition it if given the mandate both Christian and Muslim youth will stand to benefit .
Nasarawa state correspondent of African Independent Television, AIT ,has assured the youth to shun all the criminal tendencies and embrace hard work to end them respect in the society.
He maintained that as critical stakeholders he going to organize an interface with religious leaders to educate them on the need to involve their own youth legitimate business to generate income.
