Military Discovers Gun Factory In Nasarawa State, Monarch, IMC Chairman Warn Criminals

Following the discovery of a gun factory in Angbo community of Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by the military ,the Paramount ruler, Oriye Rindre,Alh.Lawal Musa Nagogo says the traditional council and the Interim Management Committee Chairman has adopted drastic measures against individuals or group of persons that are having bad intention to disrupt public peace.

Nagogo stated this during a peace and security meeting recently held in Wamba shortly after the discovery of a gun factory by the military.

The monarch who presided over the security meeting explained that a suspected Fulani herder was nabbed by the military during a stop and search in Kaduna state. He expressed shock over the recent development.

“It was discovered following the interrogation of the Fulani man who was taken to Angbo, the village he bought the guns while the gun manufacturer was quizzed and his facilities confiscated.

Yusuf Nagogo emphasized that frantic steps would be taken to block leakages, he however said the traditional council would not take it lightly with anyone caught in an attempt to sabotage the holistic effort of security agencies to sustained the existing peace as well protect people’s lives and properties.

Alh.Lawal Musa Nagogo maintained that the people of Wamba are peace loving and accommodative, as he called on them to sustain the tempo and assured that the traditional council will not relent in partnering security agencies in ensuring the safety of lives and properties.

The position was contained in a press statement signed by the Chairman; Murtala Lamus.he said the council would deal decisively with any person or group of persons with ill-motive meant to disrupt public peace.

He appealed to district and village heads as well clerics to be up and doing in educating and enlightening their subordinates against indulging in criminal act that would jeopardize the existing peace.

The IMC Chairman noted that the meeting with critical stakeholders was aimed at nipping the gory situation by the bud as well to pave way on how to avert the occurrence of any skirmishes in the area.

Speaking to Journalists after the meeting, the Gom Mama, Alh.Audu Nuhu said the meeting resolved that drastic measures will be taken against any district or village heads that gave room for criminals in his domain.

He revealed that the meeting also resolved that concerted efforts are taken to checkmate patent medicine dealers who are in the habit of selling hard drugs to the people.

The Paramount ruler said hard drugs have an adverse effect to the society as a whole.

Gom Mama commended governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and the Joint security agencies in the state for the bold steps taken in combating crimes and criminality in some part of the state.

He apealed to the people of Wamba to be watchful by reporting any abnormalities to the security to curtail any eventuality.
