Middle Belt Bloc Calls On Govt, Stakeholders To Expedite Action On The Installation Of Sai  Ron, Miskam Mushere Chiefdoms In Bokkos LGA

The Middle Belt  Blocks of Youth Leadership, comprising all the ethnic Nationalities in Bokkos Local Government Areas of Plateau State have called on the Plateau State Government under the amiable leadership of  Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang  and the Stakeholders from Bokkos to expedite action in selecting and installation of their first class chiefs  Saf Ron as well as that of Miskam Mushere for the benefit of the two  Chiefdoms.

The Youth Leadership, Bokkos Community Development Council, BCDC, Mabas Ayuba Isa.  and Chairman of  Plateau Youth Council, Bokkos LGA, Comrade Mahwash Dakol made this call during a press briefing on the incessant attacks and genocide displacing Bokkos communities of Plateau State.

 

According to the statement,” If these two vital stools are being filled, it would facilitate the peace and security efforts in the LGA. Our Concerns The Leadership of the expanded BCDC Youth Council is deeply concerned about the incessant attacks, destruction of lives and properties as well as displacement of communities from their original Home, due to the vicious activities of the insurgents in our locality, especially in this farming season.

 

He stated that their gallant youth who are willing to lay down their lives in the defence of their ancestral heritage are helpless, as they lack the necessary objects of defence to confront the well-armed terrorists whose weapons are modern and sophisticated.

“Should these brave youngsters equally run away and surrender their land to the invaders? If the answer to concern number three is in the negative, can the Government and the Security Agencies guarantee the safety of their precious and sacred lives, which are irreplaceable?

The rate of impurity, inciteful and inflammatory statements by these Fulani, always trying to justify every massacre committed on the natives, justifying the heinous crimes committed by these criminal elements and their baseless comparison with the lives of animals”, the statement explained.

It is a deliberate attempt to displace the natives and take away the land for grazing for their animals by the herders had continued to inflict pain on them by bloodletting and marauding.

We condemn this act as inhumane to humanity, this is land grabbing!! Land grabbing!! And nothing but land grabbing!!! And we can’t fold our arms and watch this shared wickedness going on in our God’s given land.

 

We call for the arrest of one Mr. Garba Abdullahi Muhammad Chairman of the Coalition of Fulani Register Organisation (COFRO) who statement aggravated situation after the Bokkos massacre and stating some certain conditions for peace.

 

 

On his press conference dated 9th, April 2025 held in Kaduna State was not only uncalled for; it was inhuman. “Our Demands and Appeals Arising” from the above concerns;

 

 

We humbly make the following demands and appeals:

 

The Federal Government should provide adequate and effective security machinery to curtail the excesses of these blood-sucking monsters or grant approval State to Policing, which would address the peculiarity of the security challenges in each State.

Since Government at all levels can no longer guarantee absolute safety of lives and properties of its law-abiding citizens, there is need to enact a Law that allows citizens to own Arms and ammunition for self defence, if we must put an end to this ethnic cleansing. The Government should Act fast and the time is Now. Delay is Dangerous.

 

The  BCDC Youth Council is calling on our Visionary Governor to as a matter of urgency, reactivate  “Operation Rainbow”  which is the existing auxiliary security apparatus of the State,  by recruiting some of  our reliable native Youth who are willing to sacrifice the last drop of their of blood in defence of their heritage to secure our villages.

 

They should be provided with licensed arms to carry out their operations.

The BCDC Youth Council is calling for immediate arrest of Mr. Garba Abdullahi Muhammed for justifying the killing of over 50 people, calling for the removal of Sector 5 Commander of Operation Safe Heaven who is trying his best to get rid of criminal elements from the locality and calling for the unconditional release of the suspects arrested in connection with the killing without allowing the law to take its course.

 

His actions can best be described as deliberate sabotage to the security Agencies as it implies that he might likely be one of those who might have sent the said criminals on an errand.

 

Why was he showing more concern about the terrorist than the victims?

 

We appeal to all critical stakeholders for the interest of peace, to adopt a spirit of compromise to Fast-track the process of selecting and installing of 1st class chief of Ron Chiefdom and that of Mushere Chiefdom as well to fill in the vacant Chieftaincy stools, especially of the Paramount Chief of the LGA.

 

This is key to the security and stability of the LGA.

 

We call on all Elders, Men, Political office holders and the Youth, most importantly as the worthy sons of the soil, to as a matter of urgency, RETURNED BACK to their various Villages (if possible) for a holistic consultation on the way forward.

The Ancestors handed over the land to us. We must not betray their confidence by  Surrendering our heritage to terrorist, thereby mortgaging our future. Together, we must protect and preserve our Heritage with God on our side, for in Him we TRUST.

We say:                No to the killing of innocent souls!!No to kidnapping and payment of ransom to criminals!!

 

Bokkos can not be conquered, and Plateau shall rise again.Enough of these Evils!! Let rise and take action!! To defend our heritage!!
