Member House Of Rep, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo Gives Lifeline To Residents of Dadinkowa, Constructs A bridge To Avert Flood Disaster In Doma

Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, member federal House of representing Awe , Doma, Keana federal constituency of Nasarawa state in a concerted effort to ameliorate the peril of flood disaster faced by resident of Dadinkowa in Sabon Gari ward of Doma local government has embarked on the construction of a concrete bridge across the flood area.

The ongoing concrete bridge if completed would to no small measure give people of the flood ravaged zone a lifeline, people of Dadinkowa especially those at the high risk area has been battling with flood disaster for the past four years, the flood wreak the entire vicinity causing untold hardship to scores of household.

No fewer than eight households forcefully abandoned their houses to a safer place of abode, one of the victim in an interview attributed the ravaging flood to the clearing of a farmland by the erstwhile governor of Nasarawa state, Aliyu Akwe Doma,one of the build at the risk of flood was the abandoned twin storey building of “Taal Model school”.

One Adamu Jikan Maikudi a staff with works Department was compelled to relocate to a safer place, another street at the risk of flood was Alh.Mallam street, a street of the current member Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Muhammed Okpede, also the popular Abdulkarim Iyimoga street was among the street devastated by flood.

Scores of households are sleeping with their eyes open due to the destruction cause the series of natural disaster while ongoing construction of houses were stopped, It could be recalled that heavy downpour carted away three residents of Dadinkowa including the daughter of the incumbent lawmaker representing Doma North if not the timely intervention by residents of the area it could have been history.

The member federal House of representatives, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo has embarked on free WAEC and NECO registration of three hundred candidates from 2015-2016 in the three local governments that made up his constituency, The Honorable affirmed that one hundred candidates were picked across Awe,Doma and Keana respectively.
