Medical And Health Workers Union Shutdown Primary Health Care In Nasarawa Over Unpaid September Salary
It was a festival of assault in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State following the shutdown of all Public health facilities by protesting civil servants.
The protesting civil servants are demanding for the payment of their September salary mounting to N29,000,000 which comprises of salary of staff the core Local Government and Ekye Development Area.
The Chairman of Health and Medical Workers Union in an interview said their members are deprived access to livelihood with the non-payment of September salary by the authority of Doma Local Government.
“We were denied our September salary and August, September Union dues amounted to N750,000
Agina Agbo, added that the salary of Doma is N15,000,000m while the salary of staff from Ekye Development Area mounted to N11,000,000m.
This happening precisely one week after shutting down of the entire process by the Nigeria Union of Teachers and other category of civil servants.
The Local Government Chairman Honorable Rabo Sani could not be reached for comment as at press time.
