Media Trust presents N5 million to KORROK Technologies Ltd By Yakubu Busari, Jos
The Executive Director of Media Trust Ltd, Alhaji Hussaini Abdulrahman has presented a cheque of N2.5 million, being the second of the two-instalment N5 million Entrepreneurship award to KORROK Technologies Ltd, said Daily Trust is a fearless newspaper publishing materials as they come irrespective of the personalities or institutions involved.
The Media Trust Ltd, publishers of Daily Trust, Weekly Trust,SundayTrust, Aminiya and Kilimanjoro, presented the balance of N5 million entreprenuership award to a Jos company, Korrok Technologies Ltd, yesterday with the explanation that Media Trust is a publishing company which upholds the principle of balance reporting of all shades of views.
Alhaji Abdulrahman said, “When you pick a copy of Daily Trust any time, what you see is fearless journalism. We are a platform where we allow all sorts of views. If you are a Muslim and you want to express yourself, express yourself; If you are a Christian and you want to express yourself, express yourself. We believe in cross fertilization of ideas and views.”
Officials of the Plateau State Government who spoke during the award presentation ceremony said the gesture of Media Trust in giving a financial award to a Plateau State entrepreneur was enough evidence that Media Trust meant well for the State.
Receiving the award for KORROK Technologies Ltd, Proprietor of the company, Mr Gondhi Steven Daniel said the financial award had made a huge difference to his company. “I don’t know what I would have done without Media Trust,” Mr Daniel said.
