The Middle Belt Journalists Forum,(MBJF) and Nigeria Chief of Defense Staff have paid their last respect to the family of Former Governor, Sen.Joshua Dariye over the demise of Na,Kaka Saratu Dariye Defwan who died at age of 92 (1932-2024) after a protracted illness while Pa, Dariye Defwan was kidnapped and brutally murdered by the suspected criminal .
The delegation of the MBJF was led by the National Vive President , Comrade Emmanuel Stephen and National Secretary , Comrade Ladi Dincit Emmanuel and at the Horop country home of Mushere chiefdom of Bokkos Local Government Council of Plateau State.
He expressed sadness over the level of insecurity in the country by calling on the middle belt people to rise up to the challenges of self defense.
According to Emmanuel ,we are here to condole with you as the two bodies of our beloved parents and grandparents are lower into the mother earth .
He condemned the incessant attacks in Plateau villages by appealing to the security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and properties of vulnerable communities under siege.
Meanwhile, Sen.Joshua Dariye commended the MBJF for their demonstration of love and concern over the demised of his parents .
He said ,the exercise is a clear display of love and solidarity which is a show of commitment and care because if not for the publicity of the media the world won’t know that the pains inflicted to the family is much .
Dariye thanked God for the overwhelming display of love and togetherness by advising the people to always remain united and steadfast to the agitation of the people oneness in the struggle for a united front .
He lamented the politicians in the middle belt are a disgrace because whenever they get an appointment they turn out to neglect everyone in Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, Abuja, Plateau, Niger, Taraba and Southern Kaduna states that we are always biased.
Dariye explains that this is a serious setback to the development and progress of the middle belt people.
He maintained that the display of love and unity by all political gladiators would soon close rank for the progress of the state and the entire geopolitical and lives is transient nobody lives forever.
Dariye appreciated God almighty for allowing the event to hold , with the solidarity from eminence Nigerian across the states and their praying God actually revealed those behind the dastardly act .
The representative of the Chief of Defense Staff , Stephen Emmanuel applauded the positive contribution for the former Governor for working hard towards keeping the middle belt people united .
Emmanuel eulogized Dariye as the new leader of the middle belt people by encouraging him to continue to maintain the spirit of cohesion as the President Tinubu promised to build barrack in Mbar community to checkmate the influx of bandits .
They group have expressed readiness to end insecurity and incessant attacks in the geopolitical zone of the middle belt in partnership between the civil and military .
