Mantu, Useni Charge Hon Amos Gombi To Conduct Credible Elections, Saying No Faction In PDP

The People Democratic Party, Plateau (PDP)  State chapter factional leaders, Sen Jeremiah Timbut Useni, Sen Ibrahim Mantu, and Sen Jonah David Jang all have resolved to preach the gospel of peaceful coexistence amongst them and respect zoning arrangement of the party were plateau north to produce the next chairman.

 

Sen Mantu at the state secretariat on Friday charged the party faithful to conduct themselves as members of one family not  allow interest   mislead the progress of the PDP in preparation for the 2023

 

The Meeting cheer by Amos Gombi, sen Ibrahim  Mantu ,Sen Jeremiah Useni  who were member of the BOT encourage them to promote healthy competition  and forgive those who are bend on sabotaging the state chapter of PDP.

 

The Acting Chairman of the PDP, Hon Amos Gombi said the state chapter has commenced preparation for the selling of forms to various positions of  the party chairmanship, secretaries,Deputy Chairmen across the 17  Local Governments wards, up to LGAs for eligible candidates who indicated interest vying for the vacate offices.

 

He said, this exercise is to commensurate with the party guidelines to conduct elections in Plateau State chairmanship position ahead of 2023 general elections.

 

The Gombi factions witness the overwhelming support of, Lt General Jeremiah Timbut Useni, Dr James Dalop, Sen Ibrahim Mantu, Barr Danjuma Maina ,Prof Demise Mailafiya, including some key party faithfuls who Assembly to strategy on the way forward.

 

He explained further that as the Acting Chairman of the in Plateau State he has vowed to conduct transparent and credible elections to usher inability elected Chairman and his officials to pilot the affairs of the party towards clinching the governorship seat in the forthcoming elections.

 

According to him, iam a product of transparency so I have to live in accordance with the tenet of democracy by delivery election that is worthy of emulation by all.

 

Amos Gombi reiterated that, as a party man I didn’t impose myself to the PDP supporters but the national secretariat deem it’s necessary to ask me to step in and conduct this forthcoming Congresses for free and fair exercise.

 

He stated that the main purpose of inviting SEC,  Exco and stakeholders meeting today is to create awareness ahead of time and to introduce to them that forms are now for sell to all those who are ready to vie for various offices.

 

Adding, this forms are going to be made available at the state secretariat in Jos, and Abuja for those who might want to obtain it here very soon the forms would be ready, or else the person want to go and buy in Abuja himself.

 

He charged all the Chairmen to produce comprensive list of the 17 LGA register members of PDP from the wards to LG were he noted that for chairmanship of ward 10,000 ,Deputy Chairman 7000, Secretary 7,500 and other positions 5,000 each.

 

The Former Deputy Senate President, Dr, Sen Ibrahim Mantu said as a party man we are very shock with the outcome of the Supreme Court judgement considering the available facts on ground but as a politician who have contested election in various capacities that is not a new development.

 

He commended the resilience and sportsmanship demonstrated by the General Jeremiah Timbut Useni after loosing, we were more worried about the exercise but Useni was not showing any signs of what really happened to him.

 

Mantu charged other politicians to emulate the kind gesture  that elections is not a do or die affairs but we should embrace togetherness rather than preaching division amongst us in Plateau State.

 

According to Mantu, he called on party supporters to be calm and to remain focus in rebuilding the party towards the 2023 ,because the unity of Nigeria is sacrosanct.

 

He added that in his 41 years in politics, we appeal to our party faithfuls to unite and learn another lesson  because being members of one party is just like a family but nowadays a lot of wrangling , hatred  and division tearing us apart.

 

Mantu advised that they should all go into the forthcoming Congresses as one family no division but exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship and tolerance to recover from the lost.

 

He said, there is no faction in PDP we are together and to  strengthen and return the party to victory.
