The General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and the Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN Maj Gen Ibrahim Ali has charged the Nigeria Army officers to improve their skills with modern technology by embracing digital security networks in the country.
Maj Gen Ali made this disclosure on the 13th October 2021, while delivering his opening remarks at the sensitisation lecture organized on the use of Digital Emergency Alert and Tracking Application at Headquarters 3 Division Nigerian Army Jos.
The GOC charged the officers that the current security challenges call for prompt use of technology to overcome it, so you are advised to go with modern technology in tackling it.
During his presentation, the Resource Person, Mr. Atai Akpan who is a digital transformation expert noted that the application would be useful against crimes such as kidnapping, banditry, and other crimes.
The presentation featured an interactive session and a practical session, where the use of the application was demonstrated to the officers.
According to him, the training you getting today is to update your skills in the tactical operation of the theatre field.
