The crisis rocking APC is deepening as records and petition of diversion of the public fund has reached the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission.
The latest report indicated that ICPC has commenced a discreet probe of local government funds in Osun State.
The petition from a group, Centre for Human and Socioeconomic Rights, is reported to trigger a wider investigation, which reportedly indicated the state government in the grand diversion of local government funds.
According to the report, the investigation predates the current crisis rocking the APC in Osun state.
The petition accused Hon Obeizun Bunmi Ezekiel of diverting a quarter of a billion Naira.
Reports indicated that the petition has created panic within the state government as the issue of local government funds and its administration and alleged diversion is also arousing the attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC).
