Legal Practitioner Eyes Plateau Governorship Race To Address Infrastructural Deficit

A legal practitioner,Barr C.B.N Dalan Esq has promised to provide leadership that can drive developmental strife to Plateau and rebuilds confidence in people.
He expressed dissatisfaction with the infrastructural decay recorded by the administration of Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state and that of President Muhammadu Buhari in the past five years of governance.
The legal practitioner who disclosed this in an interactive session with journalists said, on his political ambition to run for the 2023 governorship race in plateau state is focus more on grassroots development and people-oriented program.
He said, that what informed his decision vying for the position of the governorship to fixe some grey areas that needed urgent attention especially the education, health care delivery, road network amongst others which has been neglected over years.
According to him, governor lalong as a lawyer and a Senior colleague might have done his very best but he also has shortcomings in addressing infrastructural development within the state as it is view by many, his concept of leadership is different.
He explained that Plateau uses to be placed above others both at primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions but is the education in plateau now is recorded the below standard, citing the example of Ogun state which has more than 10 higher institutions of learning.
Dalan added that the failure of leadership has placed the state below this standard saying, “if given the mandate in 2023 he places a premium in fixing the infrastructural and harnessing the solid mineral deposits in the state.
Dalan also promised if elected he would improve the agricultural sector because our communities are agrarian in nature.
He assured that citizens of the state of timely intervention in providing fertilizers and other incentives to boost the farmers in the area of capacity building and rural transformation.
Barr Dalan also commended the federal government policy on agriculture but described it as a policy Summersault due to poor implementation which is not well impressive, and therefore, he called on the next coming President to improve the policy on agriculture so as to boost food security in the country.
Speaking on the zoning system, Barr C.B.N Dalan, condemned the ideas of zoning arrangement which he said is not ultimate that can produce quality representation .
He stated even though he is from the southern zone with the incumbent governor Simon Lalong, he feels that that gentleman agreement should shelve so that he can be given his constitutional right to serve the state effectively.
However, he lamented zoning should not serve as a barrier to deprive others of credible candidates of their desire to contribute meaningfully to good governance in their state.
