The Abattoir Community, a suburb of Jos, the Plateau State Capital was thrown into confusion on Thursday following the arrest of a middle-aged Lebanese Nationale identified as Simo, for allegedly sleeping with 14 under-aged girls.
The Lebanese man who was said to have lured the minors to his resident was accused of impregnating 7 of them.
His arrest followed a complaint by the family of an 11 years old girl who he allegedly molested.
The complaint led to the discovery of his other victims in the community.
The situation triggered protest by community members who stormed the Police Station, calling for justice for the victims.
They were, however, repelled with teargas from armed Policemen stationed around the community.
Spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command ASP, Gabriel Ubah confirmed the arrest of the suspect to AIT.
He added that the investigation is ongoing with the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Unable to lay their hands on the suspect, the protesters turned their anger on his house raiding it to the ground.
