The Bishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), Nelson Malau, has encouraged pastors to stay strong in their faith and remain good examples of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
He gave this charge during his welcome speech at the church’s two-day Pre-Convention Programme held at LCCN Gweda Mallam in Numan. The programme took place ahead of the church’s National Convention scheduled to begin later in the week.
Speaking to over 100 pastors, Bishop Malau urged them to stay prayerful, committed, and spiritually prepared for the annual gathering. He reminded them to protect the church’s image by living responsibly both in public and private.
The Bishop also advised pastors to use social media wisely to spread the Gospel and avoid anything that could damage the church’s reputation.
Quoting from the Holy Bible, book of Ephesians 4:3–6, he called on the pastors to stay united and allow God to guide them throughout the convention for the spiritual growth of the church.
He also asked for prayers for Nigeria as the country prepares for general elections next year. He prayed that God would raise good and righteous leaders.
Urging all church members to pray for the success of the upcoming National Convention.
The Pre-Convention Programme is held every year a few days before the church’s main national gathering. The event was attended by over 100 pastors, including church leaders such as the Vice Bishop, Deans, and other top officials.
