The Chairman of Langtang North Local Government, Barr. Zulfa Rimven has debunked allegations of impeachment threat on him by the legislative arm.
Speaking to this medium on phone,Zulfa Rimven said , “it is not true I’m just hearing from the online publication that they are planning to impeach me.
In reaction to the statement,” Council Chair Faces Impeachment, as Legislative Arm Passes Vote of No Confidence on Him”, he said, they have commenced an impeachment process against the Council Chairman soon is baseless allegations that can’t stand against my person.
He said, I’m yet to receive any notification letter from the leader of the legislative arm which is the procedure to embark on the exercise but they disclosed that the Legislative Arm of Langtang North council of Plateau state has passed a vote of no confidence on the council on me ” Chairman Hon Zulfa Rimven”.
However, it gathered that 12 members of the legislative arm of the LGA signed the vote of no confidence letter on the Chairman.
It was further gathered that the Councilors accused the Council boss of several offences and might soon commence full impeachment of the council chairman Hon Zulfa.
Sources from the local government who spoke to our correspondent said Hon Zulfa has done more damage to the party the All-Progressives Congress APC than good.
A member of the legislative arm who does not want his name in print accused the Councilchairman Hon Zulfa of fanning the embers of crisis and disunity in Langtang North APC.
In his words Zulfa is deliberately undermining political leaders from the Council for personal gains.
He said, “As I speak to you the APC in Langtang North is not United, want to use this opportunity to tell his Excellency Governor Simon Lalong that the council boss in Langtang North is causing more bad than good to the party in Langtang North, we have to be careful especially as elections gets closer ,i do not see our Party winning any election in Langtang North now because of the way Zulfa has been operating, the coming on board of Zulfa has created more problems to the party in Langtang and he has to go he added.
