Lamido Asked To Contest For President In 2023

The former Governor of Jigawa state Sule Lamido has been asked to come out and contest the 2023 presidential election.

The call was made by friends and well-wishers of the former governor from Kano, Bauchi, and people as well as Kwara who came to celebrate his 73 Birthday with him.

The call was made at Bamaina village the hometown of Governor Sule Lamido while celebrating his 73 Birthday.

In his welcome address, the Jigawa PDP party chairman Babandi Ibrahim Gumel said the gathering is meant to discuss issues in the political sphere in the country.

Babandi said Lamido has done a lot during his tenure as Governor of Jigawa State and also at the time when he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He described Lamido as a political leader in the country; in fact, he is a political mentor who has played a greater role in the country.

He charged politicians to emulate him so as to save our nation from the hands of detractors who are trying to destroy the country.

Explaining further, he said it is a high time people like Sule Lamido come forward to take the mantle of leadership in this country in order to save the country from destruction by political swindlers.
