Lalong Vows To Give Attention To Healthcare Delivery And Welfare Of Health Workers

The executive Governor of Plateau state ,Rt Hon.Simon Bako Lalong has disclosed that his administration is determined to revamp the health sector in the state ,so as to surmount the challenges that makes Nigerians travel abroad for medical attention.

Lalong also vowed to accelerate the completion and equipping of hospitals that remained under construction for 8 years of the past administration that   abandon to hooligans.

He assured health workers that Plateau state government will continue to support the work of the Academy of neurological surgeon in their desire to bring improved healthcare to the people.

Represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry of health plateau state ,pharmacist ,Abel  Gwantau at the opening ceremony of the 7th annual scientific conference of the Nigerian Academy of Neurological surgeon (NANS) on Thursday in Novel Suite and resort ,Rayfield ,Jos .

Lalong told the assembly of anesthetist Doctors that, “we inherited a health sector that was in need of serious attention, as a responsible government that prioritizes human capital development and social welfare.

The governor pointed out that, “Since he came on board remuneration of health personnel that was not forthcoming, he necessitated the medical health workers to resume work.

“We have also accelerated the completion and equipping of public hospitals under construction in many years to tackle constant industrial disharmony which critical to the human health”, he explained.

According to him, the aimed of this at delivery qualitative and affordable healthcare services to the urban and rural populace also are doing and willing to intensity with a sense of urgency to make our people enjoy rural communities health care.

He tasked the participants of 7th edition of the conference to explore better ways in the field to unlocking the potential that can improve average citizens.
