The Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, APC, welfare, Hon Jock Alamba has said, Sen Jeremiah Timbut Useni should accept the outcome of the supplementary rerun election were lalong won him in a free and fair contest.
He congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor’s Simon Bako Lalong on the landslide victory at the just concluded elections by charging all elected members of the party to ensure transparency and commitment to the well-being of Nigerian.
Hon Jock Alamba stated this in an interview with our correspondence at his Resident in Jos North LGA,we respect you but the election is free and fair don’t pull into the temptation of galvanized yourself as a leader . Real politicians accept the defeat.
He also used the platform to congratulate the State Chairman of APC Hon Letep Dabang, Chief of staff, John Dafaan, the Director General Buhari /Lalong campaign, Arc Pan Dung Gyang and others stakeholders who contributed positively to ensure the victory of the APC in Plateau State.
According to him, the reelection of Governor Simon Bako Lalong didn’t come to him as a surprise because of his humble disposition, Lalong has demonstrated that he is a leader who take the plight of the people seriously inspite the condemnation witness in the state.
Alamba told our correspondent that the challenges of impatient display against the leadership of the party were a clear indication that our people are very quick to judge wrongly.
He advised that the government of Plateau State should take the task of repositioning the state and work hard to ensure that he achieve a lot in this second tenure because alot of expectations from the people for him to leave his leadership legacy.
Alamba explained further that if there is any rigging or manipulation of the results that should have come from the main election, President Muhammad Buhari didn’t use any mechanism to the main Plateau elections was so in the first place the APC was leading very comfortably .
He assured Nigerian that they have every reason why they should have high expectations in the government, this government is full of goodwill to perform, Buhari meant business to transform the country.
We have seen corrupt politicians are drafted the country to under development, aleast this regime deserve commendation from the APC, the country was threaten by the Boko Haram insurgent their flags was flying but Nigeria is now safe under the government of Buhari.
He reiterated that the Lalong should see his victory as a very big challenge to meet the high expectations of the Plateau people; I saw his emergence as God made.
Jock frowned that there is no how Lt General Jeremiah Timbut Useni will says, he is going to challenge the outcome of the election into court ,I have high respect for him but as a politician the winning by the APC is clear.
He maintained that Lalong won under a well-grounded gov Jonah David Jang so it was the will of God, rejecting the results is one of the characteristic of politics because Lalong compose himself as a very humble person, so humility is one of key benefits of the people to honour him.
Governor’s Lalong has done credibly well to deliver good will to the masses of the state; I call on all the citizens to give him the overwhelming support.
Nigerian politicians are suffering from ungodly characteristic of blaming and blackmailing each other for us the victory is not coming as a surprise, He added.
