Governor Simon Lalong has revealed that arrangement has been concluded by his Party All Progressive Congress, APC, to receive People Democratic Party, PDP, defectors in 2019.
The Governor disclosed this during the official opening of his campaign office on Friday in Jos
The state capital experienced traffic gridlock in Jos south Local Government Area as the Governor officially opened his campaign office on Friday, as he said; “I have never been happy like this in my life.”
Political supporters all assembled themselves to the new campaign office were supporters including government officials all came out to witness the opening ceremony.
Lalong said,” today I am just returning from Abuja after our meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari including PDP governors I came here straight with the believe that I will just see few people to open this campaign office in preparation towards the party declaration on in 2019.
He explained further that the; “the crowd here gave me a big surprise ,Plateau state is a home to APC and we are only waiting to be sworn in from Mr. President to myself because of the overwhelming support I witnessed here.
“I now believe that APC is rooted on the Plateau ,we thank the Director General campaign office for the concrete arrangement to mobilize these party faithful to welcome me ,we are going to receive more defectors while we flag off campaign in January ,” he noted.
The Director of campaign Arc Pam Dung Gyang disclosed that there is no vacancy in government house because Lalong administration has marched his words with action, all the crisis in Barkin ,Riyom, stopped, the Governor opened mobile Barracks especially in Gashik district and our people are returning to their ancestral homes.
We the Berom nation want to show you our full support ,sir ,you maintained standard treatment to all citizens, peace has been restore in Berom land ,you are not dictators like the past leader and Plateau people are looking for a credible person and that person is you.
The Chairman of APC Plateau state chapter, Hon Latep Dabang urged politicians not to see the campaign office as an avenue for gossiping center but to move their arsenals to their ward and unit to canvass for the party victory.
He said the Lalong administration has demonstrated high sense of commitment to reposition the state to attract investors who will have interest to come in because peace is now being enjoyed.
Dabang charged all the appointees of government to relocate to their wards and work hard for reelection of APC to deliver from Mr. President down to Governor Simon Lalong in 2019 poll.
