With an effort to complement the rescue agenda of government, about 15 Ford vans and two potholes pitchers Howo have been distributed to the department of vehicle inspection officers (VIO) by Governor Simon Bako Lalong.
The Governor Simon Bako Lalong commissioning the operational at the headquarters of VIO at Old airport road, Plateau state on Wednesday in Jos.
He pledged his administration readiness to improve the wellbeing of Plateau citizens by providing them with quality lives for effective good governance.
He decried that under his government no time will be wasted or delay in construction of news roads among the entire contract awarded by government.
Lalong reassured citizens of the state of provision of conductive atmosphere in area of road management.
He charged the ministry to strengthen the available laws commence the process of revenue collection on vehicles to ensure that there is improvement on vehicles taxes.
The governor called on the all commuter to cooperate with the VIO.
He condemned the used of bomb across and road block those commissioning with help to address the challenges of traffic roads law in the state.
He assured of sending law to regulate the movement of vehicles on our highway in the state to check the activities by eschewed all corruption tendencies to publish.
The vehicles are strictly for public use not for private by warning the commissioner to make sure that no vehicle wil be giving for private use.
The commissioner for work Plateau State, Hon Pam D. Dungs said, commissioning of operational vehicles which is the first to witness the clear manifestation of rescue mission.
He said, the duty VIO is to help toward improving revenue generation in the state, released of funds toward operation potholes within JOS ,Bukuru metropolis .
Dung promised to ensure good maintenance of the newly purchase vehicles revenue generation and pitching of potholes within the state capital.
