Lalong Approves 26.3 Million For Audit Plan Of Jos International Breweries

Plateau state government has approved the sum of N26, 250,000.00 for an audit plan of the abandoned Jos international Breweries (JIB) Plc through the tender’s board.

The commissioner for information and communication, Hon Muhammadu Nazifi disclosed this at a press briefing.

He said government engaged consultant at the rate of 14% for the recovery of all outstanding tax  due to Plateau state  and remittances to  the federal inland Revenue service ,FIR between 2013to 2014.

He revealed that 5,858 civil servants and 1,067 teachers has been promoted to compliment the change agenda of governor Lalong administration.

Nazifi added that movement registers have been introduced with attendance registers to assess punctuality in APERS and also the return of administration of some ministries to the state secretariat complex after spending huge funds by the last government without completing the edifices.

Governor Lalong promised to create a serene working environment as well as checking the security surveillance to ensure the ban on hawking within secretariat and all premises of MDAs, he said.

“We have also been able to channel the meager resources at our disposal to critical areas of need through prudent management of 10.5 billion bailout funds for salary of workers”, he noted.

Nazifi expressed confidence that salaries have been paid up to July 2016 by as arrears and part of pension has been offset.
