Ladies Of St.Mulumba Holds 41st Annual National Convention In Imo State

In their paramount quest to put smiles on the faces of the down trodden in the society, the leadership of the  Ladies of St. Mulumba,was at the weekend rounded off their three days Annual National Convention in Imo State, with the official commissioning of two bedroom flat well equipped at Ubaza Akubo in Ikeduru LGA of IMO  State.

 

The Annual National Special Convention which took place at Ahiajoku Convention Center New Owerrri attracted in attendance Royal fathers,  clegymen,youths, women from all parts of the country,seminars for the benefit of all the participants.

 

While addressing the newsmen, the Metropolitan President of Noble Order of Ladies of St.Mulumba Owerri,Lady Dr.(Mrs) Patricia Obi, said that, the convention is an annual event that cut across all 36th state of the federation.

 

She further noted that the program is targeted to benefits women especially widows,less privileges and needy in the society.

 

According to her, the most cardinal reason of LSM is charity, we are here to help the needy in the society,to identify problems amongst women and also to find lasting solutions to them she added.

 

Concluding,Lady Obi, charged other women who have not join their association to do so while stressing that, in LSM they love one another,  the share things in common,  the embrace all no matter your tribe.

 

“I want to cease this opportunity to thank God for the Governor of Imo State and his wife for honouring our occasion through their representatives,who represented them, our prayers for them is that God will making them succeed,”she said.

 

It could be recalled that, this convention started with a courtesy visitation to ArchBishop AJV Obinna,His Royal Majesty, Eze Samuel Ohiri,and Chief Dr.Paschal Dozie,who all gave them a glorious reception.

 

Adding Rev.Fr.Uzochukwu Jude Njoku,of Seat of Wisdom Seminary School Owerri,spoke on the faith of Mothers: Ladies of St.Mulumba at the service of the Gospel and Life.

 

He therefore condemned ungodly characters amongst women but however advised women to emulate the faithful lifestyle of christian women.

 

The Priest in his words,described mothers as protectors and nurturers of human life,human life as biology, human life as spirituality, as sociality,as morality and human life also involves psychological dimension,human life as holistic.

 

Rev.Fr. Njoku,finally concluded that the Catholic Knighthood was founded in reaction to the battle between good and evil which has become rampart in the modern society.
