Kwande Promises To Revamp Grassroots Sports Inter-House In  Primary, Secondary Schools

A former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Jos North /Bassa Federal Constituency, Hon. Suleiman Kwande has promised to revamp back inter-house schools competition towards boosting sporting activities at the grassroots level if elected the chairman of Plateau State Football Association.

He stated that, if given the mandate he will review many Championships that were already neglected, especially under the  13 Football tournament in primaries and secondary schools Football improve competition among youths.

He disclosed this to journalists in Jos during an interview, saying that if given the opportunity he will do his best to ensure that he makes some difference.

Kwande , maintained that he will include the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), and the  Security on the board of PFA who are also stakeholders in the game of football.

Kwande further stressed the need to revive the grassroots talents discovery and to change the entire face of football in the state and called on the PFA Congress who are those with the election mandate to vote for him.

Meanwhile, Pius Henwan, who is also a contestant for the position of PFA chairman, said that if given the mandate he will use all positive avenues to ensure he corrects the wrongs by the present PFA board.

He said that the association has had no concrete development for the past sixteen years of the present board and promised that what he has achieved with Plateau United Football Club will achieve more in PFA if elected.

Henwan who is also the General Manager of Plateau United Football Club and Director of Sports, at QPlateau State Sports Council opined, “I don’t talk a lot but my achievements speak for me. I’m vying for this office to change the narrative of what it used to be in the PFA.

” What I had achieved with the Plateau United, I’ll do more in PFA if I win the election, ” he said.
