11897097_957289824312798_1636831916_nThe chairman of Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory in a frantic effort to enhance electricity supply has procured 6 units of transformers, The council boss, Hon.Shaban Tete gave the disclosure in an exclusive Interview at his abode. The chairman who hinted that the transformers were worth millions of naira maintained that they have since been distributed to various communities.

Hon.Tete obliged that the concerted steps was taken to nip the erratic supply of electricity by the bud, Adding that the commitment was part of effort to fulfill his covenant to the electorates, Saying more is expected more from him, The chairman while given the breakdown of his stewardship few months to the expiration of his tenure, however maintained that chunk amount of money was invested in the area of road network.

He described road as an essential arteries for the development of any society, The chairman said ardent attention considering the plight of farmers in the transportation of their farm produce to the market remains his topmost priority, While reacting on insinuations in some quarters that less was achieved under his reign ,said he left a legacy for others to emulate.

“As a council boss I have exhibited and fulfilled my own part of the deal, I have something to show and very soon we and the press will take stock of projects we executed and completed including completing of ¬†abandoned projects embarked by our predecessor”.

He however affirmed that the completion of all abandoned projects formed the fulcrum of his administration’s cardinal objectives, Hon Tete debunked rumor widely spread over the sour relationship that exist between him and his predecessor, The immediate past chairman Hon.Danladi Zing. “Nothing like fallout in our relationship, Danladi remain my mentor, my brother.

The council chairman attributed the slow pace of development to the present bitten effect of economic crunch, Assuring that more is expected if the situation improved, Tete said his administration has set up plans to decongest Kuje Area council by constructing a bye-pass linking prison yard and the main town, Another bad road that needed ardent attention includes Shage-Sabo and Kodoro Sabo roads.

The chairman averred that he still remain a card carrying member of the opposition party, The PDP as he identified the credibility of President Muhammadu Buhari behind the defeat of the PDP in 2015 elections, He appealed to contestants under other platforms to eschew violence during and after the forthcoming Area council election.

“Kuje is our Area council and we must work side by side to salvage the state from the shackle of under development, He asserted.
