Killing of Miyetti Allah Chairman: Governor Sule  Warned On Reprisal Attack

Engineer Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has warned Fulani-speaking people not to take a reprisal attack to avenge the death of the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association by unidentified gunmen.

 

The Governor promised to work with security agencies to arrest and prosecute criminal elements disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in the state.

 

Governor Abdullahi Sule unveiled this when he attended the funeral prayers of Mohammed Hussein who was gruesomely killed by armed men at his abode in Garaku.

 

He however called on those bent on breaching the peace enjoyed in the state to turn a new leaf for the development of the society.

 

Governor Sule expressed shock and grief over the killing but cautioned against reprisal attacks capable of disrupting the fragile peace in the area.

 

Urging family members of the deceased to remain faithful and take solace in God while assuring that his administration will continue to work hard at ensuring adequate security of lives and property in the state.
