The ex-striker of Nigeria’s National Football team, the Super Eagles, Kanu Nwanko, congratulated and reposes confidence in the capability of Dame Pauline Tallen, the minister from Plateau State.
In a statement made available to Media, in Jos by Shabul Mazadu, Kanu who paid Tallen a courtesy call at her home in Abuja yesterday, commended her selection as minister by Mr. President and eulogized her doggedness in pursuit of her political career, contribution to nation building and consolidation of democracy in Nigeria, and for being a shining example to the women folk in patriotism, hard work and motherhood.
The ex-Super Eagles star and football czar said he met Dame Pauline Tallen 15 years ago, and because of her goodness to him, and the countless good things he heard about her propelled him to come and congratulate her, with the promise of supporting her to succeed in whatever portfolio she is given.
And to her aides, Kanu admonished them to exhibit high sense of loyalty to Tallen, be patriotic and of good character as only such will guarantee a bright future for them.
In her response, Tallen thanked him for the eulogies and confidence reposed on her, and promised to put in her best to make full prove of her area of assignment saying she won’t disappoint Mr. President and Nigerians.
She further called on all to always pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and his entire cabinet and the country at large so that we can move forward to the next level.
