Kano Police Commissioner, Mamman Dauda Presents N100 Million Cheques To 27 Beneficiaries Of Deceased Police Officers Under IGPs Group Life Assurance Scheme

The  Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Mamman Dauda, has  presented cheques amounting to One Hundred and One Million, Seven Thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy-Eight Naira, Ninety-Six Kobo (N101,007,378:96) to twenty-seven (27) beneficiaries under the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, Family Group Life Assurance Scheme. The beneficiaries that were presented with the cheques are the Next of Kin of deceased Police Officers.

In a statement signed by SP Abdullahi Kiyawa the PPRO, Kano Command, said; “ In his remark while handing over the cheques, CP Mamman Dauda, psc(+) urged the beneficiaries to judiciously use the money for the upkeep and welfare of the families and advised the guardians to assist in ensuring the good upbringing of the families of the deceased Police Officers. He further stated that the IGP’s Group Life Assurance Scheme was meant to support the deceased immediate families. The Commissioner of Police concluded his remarks by praying for the departed souls. May their souls rest in peace.

“In a moment of joy with tears, and overwhelmed by the gesture of the Inspector-General of Police, one of the beneficiaries, Aminu Auwal Ibrahim thanked Almighty Allah for witnessing this day and receiving the unexpected amount of money, he also extended his appreciation to the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police for coming to their aid, he on behalf of others promised to make good use of the money as it comes in the time of need. Also, another beneficiary, Maimuna Gambo Dangana stated “Alhamdulillah, we thank God Almighty for the support we received from the Inspector-General of Police, words are not enough for us to express our gratitude. We promise you that we will use what we received in a good way to ensure good upkeep of our families”.
