Justice and Equity Forum Endorses Lalong For Governorship

The Plateau State Justice and Equity Forum have unanimously endorsed the candidature of Barr Simon Bako Lalong of the APC in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Elections in Plateau State.

According to the Chairman of the Forum Barr Umar Shittien, the Forum’s decision was based on patriotism and in consideration of the larger interest of Plateau State and its desire to ensure continuity through a smooth transition. The Forum also maintained that their decision was to ensure the entrenchment and consolidation of the Zoning arrangement in the State in order to create the much needed sanity in the system. As according to them, anything contrary it will temper with and threaten the arrangements in the State.

Barr Shittien reiterated that their decision to support Governor Lalong was also predicated on the infrastructural development that has so far been achieved as well as the relative peace the State has enjoyed in the last four years.

A member of the Forum, Chief Samaila D. Makama called on all religious leaders to avoid delving into politics as such will overheat the system and bring disunity in the State. He therefore called on the good and peace loving people of Plateau State to come out en masses and vote Barr Simon Bako Lalong.
