Just In: Court Orders PDP Guber Candidate To Petition Nasarawa Gov-Elect Via Substituted Service

The Chairman of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, Justice Abba Bello Mohammed, on Friday 12th April, granted permission to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer in the state’s 2019 governorship election, Mr. Davematics David  Ombugadu, an order for substituted service on Abdullahi Sule, the Governor-Elect.

 

Sule, who was the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, was declared the winner of the March 9 election by INEC.

 

The Governor-Elect, who is the first respondent, is no where to be found.

 

A strong loyalist of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Kabiru Ibrahim Dallah said:  “Engr. Sule A.A said to have travelled to Mecca for Umrah (lesser Hajj), he has seen since returned and even received visitors at his personal residence and held a business meeting with investors in Lagos.

 

“He was recently cited at the birthday celebration party organised for Africa’s richest man, Alh. Aliko Dangote, in Lagos. “

 

Ombugado, had earlier filed a suit challenging the outcome of the state’s guber poll.

 

He called on the APC, Abdullahi Sule and INEC who are 1st, 2nd and 3rd respondents respectively to obey the court order.
