The management committee Chairman of Jos South Gideon’s Dung Davou   has called on traditional rulers to see this fight against hunger and poverty through sustainable farming as a collective one to mobilize their subjects to take advantage.

Speaking during the sales and distribution of the fertilizers launch of 2017 with about 3 trailers load of 5,600 assorted fertilizers for onward distribution to farmers in the area, he promised government determination towards providing enabling environment as well as inputs to boost agricultural production.

Davou said; “as we launch attack on hunger and poverty, this flag off is to improve food security to the rural, urban populace flag off distribution of fertilizer to reduce the suffering of people.

According to him, the fertilizer season charge traditional to mobilizing their subjects to see farming as professional occupation.

He charged the farmers to ensure that they promote agriculture as government continue to push poverty away that this sector alone generate employment for a least 70% of the population.

We cannot continue to be healthy without food security in our table, solicited the people of Jos south vote for the APC change mantra for transformation agenda of Mr. President.

Davou assured that the support giving to APC change mantra will go a long way to restore the dignity of the good people of Jos south through their forthcoming council election.

He pointed out the local government which is the third tiers of government is the closest to the people at the grassroots level.

“We in Jos south are poised towards dovetailing out programs most especially in agriculture into the state and national plans of action on agriculture such as the anchor borrower scheme among citizens”, he said.

Hon Davou reiterated the administration zero tolerance for corruption warning that anyone found diverting the fertilizers for selfish gain or selling at exorbitant prize no matter how highly place will made to punish
