With the mass exodus of key players in the Nasarawa state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party to the ruling party, The All Progressives Congress state caretaker committee secretary of the party, Aliyu Bello has called on the former Minister of Information, Labatan Maku to take advantage of the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise to join the party.
He stated this shortly after a press briefing by the state caretaker committee chairman at the state party secretariat.
Aliyu Bello said both old and new members would be treated as members without any discrimination amongst them.
He said the call became imperative due to the ongoing registration and revalidation of new members of the party
“Nasarawa PDP is a collapsed building which if time is not taking would bring an end to the entire fortress”.
The secretary said the intermittent defection of members of the opposition party may be unconnected to the superlative performance of Governor Abdullahi Sule barely two years in office.
“Almost everybody is defecting to the ruling party including the state administrative secretary and wards chairmen of the PDP are resigning their positions”.
The caretaker committee secretary averred that the decampees are joining the party without any condition for any position whatsoever.
