JISEPA Mandate Is To Make Jigawa State Clean-Acting MD

The Jigawa State Environmental Protection Agency, JISEPA , has said that it is responsible for clearing refuse and all dirty areas within the state and local government headquarters in the state.

 

The Acting Managing Director of the Agency Malam Suleman Abass Muhd has said the agency is responsible for the maintenance of drainage, a major market, and school to ensure cleanliness in all the areas to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

 

The Acting MD stated that JISEPA has five departments which include admin and finance, environmental enforcement and confluence unit, planning department, environmental engineering.

 

He said last year the agency cleared ten major refuse sites in Hadejia and others in the Ringim Emirates and also fumigated some senior schools and prisons to tackle the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
